Center for Hospice Care is proud to serve those who served us. Out of the seven-plus million veterans, a significant number are currently receiving hospice and palliative care.Our commitment to honoring heroes goes beyond words – it’s about providing dignified and specialized care. Our staff and volunteers receive training to better understand the needs of veterans and their families. When possible we pair veteran patients with veteran volunteers. These efforts allow us the ensure heroes receive the respect and attention they deserve. Because every hero deserves a personalized journey of care.

By recognizing the unique needs of America’s veterans and their families, community providers will learn how to accompany and guide them through their life stories toward a more peaceful ending. Center for Hospice Care integrates veteran-specific content into our staff and volunteer orientation and education. We have also developed veterans memorials at our Mishawaka campus as well as at our affiliate organization, Milton Village. Center for Hospice Care is proud to have been recognized by the Department of Defense as a 50th Anniversary Vietnam War Commemorative Partner. 

Center for Hospice Care is always looking for veteran volunteers as well. Our Vet-to-Vet volunteers receive specialized training that allow veterans a special opportunity to care for other veterans during end of life.
