Ernestine M. Raclin House

The centerpiece of Center for Hospice Care’s Mishawaka Campus is our 12-bed inpatient care facility. Named the “Ernestine M. Raclin House,” this facility focuses on providing an additional layer of compassionate, specialized care to those who need supervised, around-the-clock care in a medical care. It is also available for those whose caregiver needs a brief respite.

The inpatient unit is a testament to Ernestine “Ernie” Raclin’s dedication to improving the quality of living for those around her. Center for Hospice Care is grateful for her lead gift which allowed us to create a home-like setting for our patients and their loved ones.

The inpatient unit offers gathering areas for families, including a sunroom and family room with comfortable seating, a large screen television and a fireplace. The facility also has rooms designed for teenage and younger visitors. In addition, each patient room faces the St. Joseph River and has access for the bed to roll out onto the patio where patients and their loved ones can enjoy the serene sounds of the river.

The Ernestine M. Raclin House is conveniently located adjacent to downtown Mishawaka, a few minutes from the US 20 bypass.
